That 4x Bug weakness is something every Exeggutor user needs to plan around. At least it resists 6 types to make up for it. Known as the Coconut Pokemon. The stat spread leans into special offense.
Sp. Atk and HP carry most of Exeggutor's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
Living in a good environment makes it grow lots of heads. A head that drops off becomes an EXEGGCUTE.
Exeggutor Weakness
FragileExeggutor's Grass/Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark moves. Bug hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong.
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
- Special stat split into Sp.Atk and Sp.Def
Getting Exeggutor requires an evolution item, not just grinding levels. The chain starts at Exeggcute. Breed this form to get Exeggcute eggs (average hatch time). Sp.Atk grew the most through evolution (+65 over Exeggcute), and Exeggutor peaks at 530 total stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Exeggutor to get Exeggcute eggs easily using 23 partners from the Plant egg group. Notable egg moves include Ancient Power, Mega Drain, Moonlight and 2 more.
an ability isn't flashy, but it matters. Combined with Leftovers for passive recovery each turn and flexible EVs EVs, Exeggutor fills the attacker slot reliably. A nature nature finishes the spread.

Step 2Exeggutor ✓
Chlorophyll changes the entire equation for Exeggutor. The 530 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked A-Tier as a wallbreaker.
Watch for Pinsir (Bug), Arcanine (Fire), and Lapras (Ice) when using Exeggutor. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Pinsir is the most dangerous since Bug moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 7 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Exeggutor is a mixed attacker — base 95 Attack and 125 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
Exeggutor appears in 20 games, including Yellow, Red & Blue, and Gold & Silver.
Since debuting in Red & Blue, Exeggutor has appeared in 20 titles over 9 generations. Along the way, it received an Alolan form in Generation 7, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
