Bronzong Best Moveset
Steel/Psychic at 116/116 balanced defenses with AbilityLevitate removing the Ground weakness. AbilityHeatproof halves Fire damage instead. Held ItemLeftovers with NatureSassy absorbs hits from both sides behind a typing that resists 9 types. The moveset sets Stealth Rock and tanks hits. 89 Attack fires slow physical damage. C-Tier as a defensive utility anchor.
Steel/Psychic with Levitate OR Heatproof in Gen IV (Diamond & Pearl). Opponents couldn't tell which ability it had. Levitate removed Ground weakness. Heatproof halved Fire. Either way, hard to hit.

Bronzong Weakness
Fire, Ground, Ghost, and Dark moves hit Bronzong for super-effective damage. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. It resists 9 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Bronzong's overall bulk (67/116/116) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Base Stats
The stat bars tell the story: Defense carries everything and Speed's dead weight. But this Bronze Bell Pokemon still yields 2 Defense and Sp. Def EVs per fight on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It brought rains by opening portals to another world. It was revered as a bringer of plentiful harvests.
Bronzong Guide
Bronzong looks average on paper at 500 BST. But Levitate is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. B-Tier trick room on our tier list.
Watch for Arcanine (Fire), Swampert (Ground), and Misdreavus (Ghost) when using Bronzong. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Dark-type attackers are also a problem. At base 33 Speed, Bronzong won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Bronzong gets Levitate, Heatproof, and Heavy Metal. But Levitate is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Bronzong is a mixed attacker with base 89 Attack and 79 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 33 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the trick room role.
Run Stealth Rock, Psychicnoise, Earthquake, and Ironhead on Bronzong. Stealth Rock is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the trick room role with a mix of damage and utility.
