Cofagrigus Best Moveset
One of the hardest physical walls without Mega access at 145 Defense. 95 Sp. Atk fires Ghost TermStab with decent special damage between 30 Speed recharges. The rate is glacial, but nothing physical breaks through. The moveset absorbs and retaliates at its own pace.
Mummy deactivated the opponent's ability on contact in Gen V (Black & White). 145 Defense walled physical attackers, and Mummy punished them for touching it.

Dropped in Gen VI (X & Y). Knock Off hit Ghost super-effectively and removed items. Physical attackers that once feared Mummy now just Knocked Off Leftovers and moved on.

Between tiers in Gen VII (Sun & Moon). Nasty Plot from 95 Sp. Atk wasn't enough to sweep, and 145 Defense without HP or Sp. Def couldn't wall the whole format.

Fell to the bottom in Gen VIII (Sword & Shield). Mummy was a gimmick that stopped mattering once opponents switched out. Four gens of decline from a solid debut.

Cofagrigus Weakness
Cofagrigus's Ghost typing leaves it vulnerable to Ghost and Dark. It shrugs off Normal and Fighting-type attacks completely. Cofagrigus's physical bulk (base 145 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Base Stats
The stat bars tell the story: Defense carries everything and Speed's dead weight. But this Coffin Pokemon still yields 2 Defense EVs per fight on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
This Pokémon has a body of sparkling gold. People say it no longer remembers that it was once human.
Cofagrigus Guide
Cofagrigus works as a trick room with 483 BST behind it. B-Tier on our list: a solid choice for the right team. That 145 base Defense does the heavy lifting.
Watch for Chandelure (Ghost) and Hydreigon (Dark) when using Cofagrigus. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 30 Speed, Cofagrigus won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Mummy changes attacking Pokémon's abilities to Mummy on contact. That's the one you want on Cofagrigus. It's the only ability Cofagrigus has.
Cofagrigus is a mixed attacker with base 50 Attack and 95 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the trick room role.
Run Hex, Will O Wisp, Painsplit, and Toxic on Cofagrigus. Hex is the most common pick at 0% usage. Hex provides reliable STAB damage.
Game Availability
Since Black & White, Cofagrigus has been obtainable in 8 games. A Generation 5 debut means a shorter history, but Cofagrigus has appeared steadily across every generation since.
