Trevenant Best Moveset
110 Attack at 85 HP on Ghost/Grass with AbilityHarvest recycling consumed berries 50% of the time (100% under sun). Held ItemSitrus Berry heals 25% and recycles endlessly. NatureBrave maximizes Attack at 56 Speed. The moveset tanks hits through berry recycling and fires physical Ghost and Grass TermStab. Tera Ghost amplifies the primary damage.
Harvest recycled Sitrus Berry in Gen VI (X & Y). Ghost/Grass with 110 Attack. Will-O-Wisp plus Harvest plus Leech Seed stalled effectively.

Trevenant Weakness
Fire, Ice, Flying, Ghost, and Dark moves hit Trevenant for super-effective damage. The upside? Normal and Fighting-type moves can't touch it at all. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses.

| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Ground |

Base Stats
Attack and HP carry most of Trevenant's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
People fear it due to a belief that it devours any who try to cut down trees in its forest, but to the Pokémon it shares its woods with, it’s kind.
Trevenant Guide
Natural Cure changes the entire equation for Trevenant. The 474 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a setup sweeper.
No. Trevenant is not catchable in the wild. It only comes from trade-evolving Phantump. Trade needs a Game Boy Advance link cable and a second GBA running another Gen 3 game (FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald). Trade Phantump to a friend, then have them trade it back. The 2026 Switch re-release supports the same trade through local wireless on the Pokemon Center 2F Wireless Club, with no cables required.
Natural Cure is what you want on Trevenant. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Frisk, Harvest) work on paper but Natural Cure is what makes Trevenant worth using.
At base 56 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Trevenant is a physical attacker with base 110 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a setup sweeper.
Game Availability
Trevenant joined the series in X & Y and has been available in 7 titles so far. With 5 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
