Ting-Lu Weakness
Ting Lu's Dark/Ground typing leaves it vulnerable to Water, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Bug, and Fairy. It shrugs off Electric and Psychic-type attacks completely. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Ting Lu's physical bulk (base 125 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Base Stats
Raw HP carries Ting-Lu's bulk more than the defenses do. Speed barely registers. But that HP pool covers for it. A very hard to catch Ruinous Pokemon that yields 3 Defense EVs on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It slowly brings its exceedingly heavy head down upon the ground, splitting the earth open with huge fissures that run over 160 feet deep.
Ting-Lu Guide
At 570 BST, Ting-Lu is built different. We rank it A-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a hazard setter.
Ting-Lu is a static encounter at Paldea Socarrat Trail in . Ting-Lu appears at level 60. Save before the encounter. These one-shot Pokemon don't respawn if you knock them out or run out of Poke Balls.
Watch for Starmie (Water), Breloom (Grass), and Weavile (Ice) when using Ting-Lu. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Fighting, Bug, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Ting-Lu has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Vessel Of Ruin lowers Special Attack of all Pokémon except itself. That's the one you want on Ting-Lu. It's the only ability Ting-Lu has.
Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Ting-Lu is a mixed attacker with base 110 Attack and 55 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a hazard setter.
