Red & Blue Cinnabar Island
A volcanic island where the Pokemon Lab brings fossils back as Omanyte, Kabuto, or Aerodactyl beside Blaine's Fire-type Gym.
Cinnabar Island is in Kanto, with Route 21 to the north, Route 20 to the east, and the entrance to Cinnabar Gym. In the story it comes after Seafoam Islands and continues through its entrance to Pokémon Mansion.

Cinnabar Island Guide
The Cinnabar Gym door needs the Secret Key, hidden inside the abandoned Pokemon Mansion just south on the same island. Clear the Mansion's switch puzzle, grab the key, and the gym opens. Plenty of players reach Cinnabar, find the locked door, and miss that the way in is next door.
Bring it to the lab on Cinnabar and the scientist revives it at level 30, ready to battle right away. A Helix Fossil becomes Omanyte, a Dome Fossil becomes Kabuto, and the Old Amber from the Pewter Museum becomes Aerodactyl. Drop it off, then return to collect your new Pokemon.
