Each side path off the eastern column ends at a Bug Catcher facing back toward it, and the column's east side puts you in both sight lines.
  1. From the south entrance, head north to the lone tree, then follow the clearing east to the foot of the wide grassy column.
  2. Climb the column along its east side until the Bug Catcher at the end of the first side path battles you.
  3. Farther up, another Bug Catcher at the end of the second side path spots you and fields three Pokemon.
2
You cannot walk around the last Bug Catcher, who stands beside the only open square in the far west lane.
  1. At the top of the column, turn west along the upper path, then south down the next grassy lane until an opening appears on its west side.
  2. Slip west through the opening and climb north up the lane beyond it to the forest's top edge.
  3. Follow the top edge west, then take the long lane south all the way down to the western clearing.
  4. Turn north into the far west lane, where the Bug Catcher battles you with a single Pokemon.
  5. Past him, head north up the lane and out through the gate building to leave Viridian Forest.
