Red & Blue Route 18
The short final leg of Cycling Road at the gates of Fuchsia City, where a gatehouse trade offers up a Lickitung.
Route 18 is in Kanto. In the story you arrive from Route 17 to the north and continue east to Fuchsia City.

Cycling Road bottoms out on its last short leg, a quick straight run east to Fuchsia's western gate once the descent above is done.
Route 18 Walkthrough
- Pedal south along the lane from Route 17, swing east at its foot and ride the road into the gatehouse.
- Cross the gatehouse floor and head out through its east door.
- Drop south through the opening beside the door, where a Bird Keeper battles you from the east side, and lower down you face the Bird Keeper's lone Dodrio.
- Cross west along the top row of grass until the last Bird Keeper spots you, then climb back to the road and ride east into Fuchsia City.

The short tail of Cycling Road carries the same flyers as the slope above, Fearow and Doduo, with Raticate joining the grass. The rods off the edge add Krabby and the usual fish.

Route 18 Guide
Yes. Each version locks away a handful of route species. Ekans, Oddish, Mankey, and Growlithe stay in Red, while Sandshrew, Bellsprout, Meowth, and Vulpix belong to Blue, with Scyther and Pinsir split the same way. Trading with the other version is the only way to fill those gaps.
Three rods, three givers. A fisherman in Vermilion City hands over the Old Rod, which only ever hooks Magikarp. The Good Rod comes from a fishing fan in Fuchsia City and adds Poliwag, Goldeen, and other common catches. The Super Rod, waiting on Route 12, reaches the rod-only rarities listed here.
