Crystal Ilex Forest

This dim forest maze guards the western road, its guardian shrine bound up in the legend of Celebi, the Time Travel Pokemon.

Ilex Forest is in Johto, with Azalea Town to the south. In the story it comes after Slowpoke Well and continues north to Route 34.

ILEX FOREST MAP

Ilex Forest tangles a short maze around its central pond, easy to lose your bearings in. Cutting the tree near the far edge is what opens the path through toward Goldenrod.

Pokemon Encounters

Ilex Forest is a Cut-gated bug haven. Paras and Caterpie work the floor with Oddish out after dark, and Headbutt on the trees shakes loose Pineco and the Hoothoot line.
