Crystal Ruins of Alph
Ancient stone puzzles fill this ruin south of Violet, the one place the mysterious Unown spill out of the walls once you slide the tiles into place.
Ruins of Alph is in Johto, with Route 36 to the north. In the story you arrive from Route 32 to the south and it comes before Union Cave.

The Ruins of Alph stack four sliding-tile puzzle rooms over a sealed underground hall, and clearing a puzzle caves the floor in beneath you. The rooms set deeper out wait behind Surf and a Strength boulder.
Pokemon Encounters
The Ruins of Alph are the only place in the world to catch Unown, every solved chamber crawling with them at 100 percent. Natu patrols the surface outside, and Smeargle paints in at 10 percent.
