Crystal Route 36
A giant Sudowoodo blocks the road north here, frozen in place as a tree until you splash it with the Squirtbottle and snap it awake.
Route 36 is in Johto, with Violet City to the north, Route 35 to the south, and Ruins of Alph to the south. In the story you arrive from National Park to the north and continue north to Route 37.

Route 36 is blocked early by a stubborn tree, the Sudowoodo you wake with the Squirtbottle. Growlithe prowls the grass by day, with Bellsprout and a night Gastly alongside.

Route 36 hands out a Fire Stone that evolves Vulpix or Growlithe, plus TM08 Rock Smash for breaking boulders. A Hard Stone that hardens Rock attacks sits in the grass.
