Crystal Route 41

Whirlpools churn the sea between Cianwood and the Whirl Islands, with Mantine gliding beneath the swells.

Route 41 is in Johto, with Route 40 to the north and Whirl Islands to the north. In the story it comes after Battle Tower and continues south to Cianwood City.

Route 41 is the stretch of ocean dividing Cianwood from Olivine, a straight Surf dotted with whirlpools. Those eddies only matter if you turn aside for the optional Whirl Islands.

Pokemon Encounters

Route 41 is the whirlpool sea guarding the Whirl Islands, and Mantine glides across the surface at 10 percent on Surf, the one place it turns up. Lanturn and Chinchou take the deeper rods.
