How to get the Kanto Slate in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The Kanto Slate is an item used to summon the Legendary Pokemon Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres when used at the correct pedestal in Ramanas Park. These Pokemon are only available for Pokemon Shining Pearl.

First, obtain the Explorer Kit.
From here, go to the Grand Underground.
While mining, you have a rare chance to obtain Mysterious Shard L and Mysterious Shard S. You can exchange these at Ramanas Park for the Kanto Slate.
After you have taken the slate to the correct pedestal and placed it, you will be able to begin an encounter with Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres Legendary Pokemon.
