Typhlosion Evolutions
End of the line. Typhlosion caps a three-stage chain that started at Cyndaquil. Breeding produces the base form, and eggs take an average time to hatch. Sp.Atk grew the most through evolution (+49 over Cyndaquil), and Typhlosion peaks at 534 total stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Typhlosion to get Cyndaquil eggs using 131 partners from the Field egg group. Notable egg moves include Covet, Crush Claw, Double Kick and 8 more.
DP Typhlosion Best Moveset
Identical stats to Charizard but pure Fire typing means only 25% from MoveStealth Rock instead of 50%. That alone makes the moveset much easier to use. 109 Sp. Atk and 100 Speed hit hard with special Fire attacks, and not losing half the HP bar every switch is a genuine competitive advantage.

Moves List

Typhlosion Diamond & Pearl Guide
In Diamond & Pearl, use Typhlosion as a sweeper. Special attacks are the main output. It outspeeds most threats, Eruption is the primary attack.
For Diamond & Pearl, build your team around Tyranitar. These have the highest co-usage rates with Typhlosion in competitive formats. They cover each other's weaknesses.
Typhlosion has a Hisuian form that swaps the typing and reshuffles the stats. Introduced in Gen 8. Worth checking if the original version doesn't fit your team.
For Diamond & Pearl, run Timid on Typhlosion. +Speed is what matters, and the -Attack cut doesn't hurt this set. Fits the sweeper role.
Typhlosion isn't catchable in Diamond & Pearl. Obtain one in HeartGold or SoulSilver, then trade it to Diamond & Pearl.
Game Availability
Since debuting in Gold & Silver, Typhlosion has appeared in 17 titles over 8 generations. Along the way, it received a Hisuian form in Generation 8, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
