Diamond & Pearl Ruin Maniac Tunnel

One obsessed digger keeps extending this tunnel toward the Solaceon Ruins, season after season. Press deeper and the wild Pokemon waiting in the dark grow stranger.

Ruin Maniac Tunnel is in Sinnoh. In the story you arrive from Route 214 to the west and it comes before Valor Lakefront.

Ruin Maniac Tunnel Guide

  • The Maniac Tunnel, the Ruin Maniac's Cave on Route 214, is the only spot in Sinnoh with wild Hippopotas. Its rate climbs as the Ruin Maniac digs further, which is tied to how many Unown you have seen: 5 percent with fewer than 10 forms, 10 percent after 10 to 25, and 20 percent once you have seen all 26. Seeing every Unown letter also fully connects the tunnel to a Solaceon Ruins chamber for the ! and ? forms.
