How to get the Distortion Slate in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The Distortion Slate is an item used to bring you to another item called the Griseous Orb when used at the correct pedestal in Ramanas Park.

First, obtain the Explorer Kit.
From here, go to the Grand Underground.
While mining, you have a rare chance to obtain Mysterious Shard L and Mysterious Shard S. You can exchange these at Ramanas Park for the Distortion Slate.
After you have taken the slate to the correct pedestal and placed it, you will be able to begin an encounter with Mewtwo Legendary Pokemon.
