VENTURE HERO COUNTERS

Burrow lets Venture tunnel underground and pop up with Drill Dash for a burst combo that kills 200 HP heroes. The counter is spacing. Stay outside Burrow range (about 8 meters) and Venture has to surface before reaching you, giving your team time to shoot. Cassidy Magnetic Grenade slows the approach. Pharah plays above ground level entirely, making Burrow irrelevant.

  • Pharah and Cassidy both deny Venture's underground approach. Pharah flies where Burrow can't reach and rockets the surface point. Cassidy Magnetic Grenade slows Venture after Drill Dash, preventing the escape back underground. Emre burst rifle drops Venture before Burrow can activate.

  • Venture sits at C Tier right now with a 51.1% win rate and 3.4% pick rate across all ranks. Below average in the current patch. You can still win with Venture but the meta favors other damages.

  • Respect Burrow range. Venture's combo needs close proximity to land. If you're more than 8 meters away, they have to surface early and approach on foot, which is when you shoot them. Listen for the Burrow sound cue and move away from the surface indicator.

  • Venture has no ranged option at all. Every ability requires being on top of the target. If the team kites backwards during Drill Dash, Venture surfaces in no man's land with no escape. Burrow has a noticeable startup sound and a visible ground indicator that gives away the approach.

  • Doomfist matches Venture's close-range burst and his 450 HP pool survives the Drill Dash combo. Reinhardt swings through the surface point and Charge catches post-Burrow. Roadhog hooks Venture the frame they pop up from underground.

  • Pharah ignores Burrow by playing in the air. Cassidy grenade slows the escape. Emre burst kills before Burrow activates. Junkrat Steel Trap on common Burrow exit spots catches Venture every time they surface.

  • Juno Glide Boost repositions the team away from Burrow range. Moira Fade phases through Drill Dash damage if timed right. Jetpack Cat flies permanently and can't be reached by underground attacks at all.
