ILLARI HERO COUNTERS

Destroy Healing Pylon before committing to any fight near Illari. That turret heals her team passively and she can redeploy it every 12 seconds if you leave it up. Solar Rifle charged shots hit hard at range, so diving her needs to be fast. She has no escape ability once you close the gap, but Captive Sun forces your whole team to stop shooting or explode from the mark.

Illari's top counters are Sojourn, Vendetta, and Freja.

COUNTER MATRIX

FAQ

  • Sojourn is Illari's hardest counter. Railgun slide closes distance past Solar Rifle range, and a charged headshot kills her before she can charge her own shot. Genji Deflect sends the charged beam back and Swift Strike reaches her perch. Wrecking Ball disrupts her static playstyle by knocking her off position constantly.

  • Illari sits at B Tier right now with a 52.1% win rate and 9.4% pick rate across all ranks. Solid but not dominant. Works well in the right hands and team comps.

  • Kill the Pylon first, then the Illari. Healing Pylon has low HP and a 12-second redeploy timer. Without it, Illari loses half her healing output and has to choose between shooting enemies and healing teammates. Force that choice every fight.

  • No escape ability. Illari stands and fights or she dies. Solar Rifle also requires charge time for max damage, so up-close fights against mobile heroes are a losing proposition. Captive Sun is strong but has a long wind-up that's easy to spot and dodge behind cover.

  • Roadhog hook pulls Illari from her perch and kills her through the one-shot combo. Wrecking Ball Piledriver displaces her from safe positions and his mobility makes Pylon placement ineffective. Domina can push past Solar Rifle range with Crystal Charge.

  • Sojourn slides into Illari range and Railgun ends her in one charged shot. Genji Deflect returns Solar Rifle beam and Swift Strike gap-closes instantly. Freja crossbow fights from angles Illari struggles to track with her slow-firing rifle.

  • Kiriko Protection Suzu cleanses Captive Sun marks, completely neutralizing Illari's ultimate. Lifeweaver Petal Platform lifts teammates above Solar Rifle sightlines and Life Grip saves anyone being focused by her burst.
