ECHO HERO COUNTERS

Echo fights from angles most DPS can't reach. Flight plus Glide keeps her airborne, Sticky Bombs pressure groups, and Focusing Beam executes targets below half HP. Hitscan is the answer. Cassidy Magnetic Grenade pulls her out of the air, and Sombra hack cancels Flight mid-air for a guaranteed fall. Without Duplicate, Echo has no survivability tool beyond staying out of reach.

  • Cassidy and Sombra both ground Echo fast. Cassidy Magnetic Grenade tracks onto her in the air and the slow makes her an easy headshot target. Sombra hack cancels Flight mid-animation, dropping her straight down with no recovery. Torbjorn turret auto-locks on her in the air where other heroes miss.

  • Echo sits at B Tier right now with a 50.5% win rate and 5.1% pick rate across all ranks. Solid but not dominant. Works well in the right hands and team comps.

  • Look up. Most Echo players attack from above because ground-level heroes have poor vertical tracking. Hitscan is mandatory. If your team has no hitscan, Echo flies for free. She's also paper-thin at 200 HP with no armor, so landing two or three shots kills her before she reaches Focusing Beam range.

  • 200 HP with no damage mitigation. Echo relies entirely on Flight to stay alive, and once that's on cooldown she's stuck gliding slowly with a huge silhouette. Focusing Beam only works on targets below 50% HP, so if your healers keep the team topped off, she loses her execute tool.

  • Wrecking Ball disrupts Echo by being too mobile for Sticky Bombs to stick reliably. D.Va eats her projectiles with matrix and chases her in the air with boosters. Sigma Accretion stuns her mid-flight and Kinetic Grasp absorbs Tri-Shot.

  • Cassidy is the hard counter. Magnetic Grenade slows her in the air and Peacekeeper finishes her before she recovers. Sombra hack drops her out of Flight for a free kill. Widowmaker one-shots her from the ground if Echo hovers in a predictable path.

  • Baptiste Amplification Matrix lets your hitscan players melt Echo out of the sky with doubled damage. Illari Solar Rifle burst hits hard at range and tracks her better than most projectile supports.
