  • Sombra, D.Va, and Junkrat all wreck Bastion. Sombra hacks him out of Assault mode and he loses 90% of his DPS. D.Va flies into his face and Defense Matrix eats every bullet. Junkrat lobs grenades around corners where Bastion can't shoot back.

  • Bastion sits at C Tier right now with a 47.0% win rate and 16.3% pick rate across all ranks. Below average in the current patch. You can still win with Bastion but the meta favors other damages.

  • Break line of sight. Bastion in Assault mode has to see you to kill you, and he moves slow in that form. Peek-shoot from corners, use cover aggressively, or flank behind him. He takes a full second to transform between modes, and that window is when you commit.

  • Immobility. Bastion in Assault Config is a stationary target, which means he can't reposition quickly when flanked. He is also hard-countered by any form of ability denial since Assault mode is an ability, not a passive.

  • D.Va and Domina are the tank answers. D.Va boosts into Bastion and Defense Matrix eats every bullet in Assault mode. Domina barrier segments block his sightline and Crystal Charge closes the gap. Orisa Fortify lets her walk through his fire long enough for teammates to flank.

  • Sombra is the best DPS pick. Hack forces Bastion out of Assault mode instantly, cutting his DPS by 90%. Genji Deflect sends his own bullets back at him. Junkrat lobs grenades from behind cover where Bastion has no angle to return fire.
