Gen VII — Sun & Moon / USUMC

Mega Medicham was strong in Gen VII (Sun & Moon) but base form fell. 80 Speed and Fighting/Psychic's many weaknesses made it fragile without Mega stats.

Medicham Guide

  • Medicham looks average on paper at 410 BST. But Pure Power is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier on our tier list.

  • Yes. Mega Medicham is the evolved form, sitting at 510 BST. Big power spike over base Medicham (410). Equip the Mega Stone and it transforms in battle.

  • Medicham's biggest threats include Salamence (Flying), Misdreavus (Ghost), and Clefable (Fairy), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.

  • Medicham gets Pure Power and Telepathy. But Pure Power is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Medicham is a physical attacker with base 60 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many.

Game Availability

Available since Ruby & Sapphire, Medicham appears in 15 games spanning 8 generations. Beyond its original form, it gained a Mega form in Generation 6.
