Almost nobody uses Meditite in battle. It exists to evolve into Medicham, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Only weak to Flying, Ghost, and Fairy. Known as the Meditate Pokemon.
Speed and Defense carry most of Meditite's stat budget. HP's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 1 Speed EV. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It never skips its daily yoga training. It heightens its inner strength through meditation.
It meditates to heighten its inner energy and to float in the air. It eats one berry a day.
Meditite Weakness
VulnerableMeditite's Fighting/Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Flying, Ghost, and Fairy moves. Standard number of weaknesses for the Fighting/Psychic typing.
One evolution ahead. Meditite grows into Medicham through a straightforward two-stage chain. A decent partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 130 total stats over Meditite.
How to Evolve
Breed Meditite easily with 49 breeding partners from the Humanshape egg group. Pass egg moves like Baton Pass, Bullet Punch, Dynamic Punch and 8 more to offspring.
One guaranteed turn is all Meditite needs. Focus Sash buys it, max Attack and Speed EVs make it count, and Pure Power adds something extra. The goal: deal early damage and deal damage with Counter. The remaining moves gives it play beyond just the lead turn.

STAB runs through Focus Punch and High Jump Kick for the basics, but Meditite's real strength is the 11-type coverage spread. Normal and Flying hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.

Meditite is meant to evolve into Medicham. At 280 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Watch for Aerodactyl (Flying), Gengar (Ghost), and Gardevoir (Fairy) when using Meditite. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.
Meditite evolves into Medicham at level 37. Meditite is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Pure Power is what you want on Meditite. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Telepathy) work on paper but Pure Power is what makes Meditite worth using.
At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Meditite is a physical attacker with base 40 Attack. Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Meditite appears in 15 games, including Ruby & Sapphire, FireRed & LeafGreen, and Emerald.
Available in 15 titles since its debut in Ruby & Sapphire, Meditite spans 7 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through catching or hatching as a base form in most mainline games.
