Ledian Best Moveset

Punching moves boosted by AbilityIron Fist sound good on paper, but Ledian's 35 base Attack makes that boost almost meaningless. Six generations near the very bottom. This moveset tries Held ItemWeakness Policy with NatureAdamant and punching moves, though the stats fight back harder than anything it faces.

Ledian Weakness

Type-wise, Ledian takes extra damage from Rock, Fire, Electric, Ice, and Flying. Watch out for Rock attacks, those deal 4x damage. Ground moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Ledian's special bulk (base 110 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Ledian Guide

  • Ledian's biggest threats include Aerodactyl (Rock), Charizard (Fire), and Raikou (Electric), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Aerodactyl is the most dangerous since Rock moves deal 4x damage. Ice and Flying-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Honestly, Ledian is a tough sell at 390 BST. Plenty of stronger Bug/Flying options exist. Fun pick, not a practical one.

  • We rate Ledian C-Tier: a situational pick that fills a niche. At 390 BST, the stats are spread pretty evenly. Base 110 Sp. Def stands out.

  • Swarm is the go-to ability for Ledian. It strengthens bug moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. Its hidden ability Iron Fist can work in specific setups. Early Bird is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.

  • Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Ledian is a physical attacker with base 35 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.

Game Availability

Available in 16 titles since its debut in Gold & Silver, Ledian spans 9 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through wild encounters in most mainline games.
