Is Beedrill Good in FireRed & LeafGreen Playthrough?
Same problem, different generation. AbilitySwarm boosts Bug-type moves at low health, but Bug attacks run off Special in Gen 3 and Beedrill's best stat is physical Attack. The mismatch from the originals carries into the remake. Falls behind after Surge and never recovers. Beedrill needs a battle system that rewards its Attack, and FRLG still isn't it.

Beedrill Weakness
Beedrill's Bug/Poison typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Flying, Psychic, and Rock. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Beedrill's special bulk (base 80 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Beedrill Evolutions
Beedrill is the final form in a three-stage chain from Weedle through Kakuna. Breeding this form produces Weedle eggs (quick to hatch). Evolving from Weedle gave Beedrill the biggest boost in Sp.Def (+60), bringing the total to 385 stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Beedrill to get Weedle eggs easily using 37 partners from the Bug egg group.
FRLG Beedrill Best Moveset
90 Attack backs Bug and Poison TermStab from the physical side where both types land. AbilitySwarm pushes Bug moves at low HP. 75 Speed falls short of outspeeding threats, and 65 HP with 40 Defense means the moveset rarely gets more than one clean hit before going down.

Moves List
Without TMs, Beedrill's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get Normal and Dark coverage and more on top of Sludge Bomb and Twineedle for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.
