AbilitySynchronize punishes anything that tries to poison or paralyze Kadabra by inflicting the same status back. Psychic-type with massive Special Attack handles Koga, Bruno, and most trainers between. Trade into Alakazam is available, but Kadabra is strong enough for the E4 even without trading.

FRLG Kadabra Best Moveset
120 Sp. Atk at 105 Speed fires MovePsychic hard and fast from the special side. AbilitySynchronize punishes status attempts by reflecting them. The moveset already competes at top-tier levels, and those stats make Kadabra functional without needing the Alakazam evolution.

Kadabra FireRed & LeafGreen Guide
Kadabra evolves into Alakazam via trade. Trade needs a Game Boy Advance link cable and a second GBA running another Gen 3 game (FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald). Trade Kadabra to a friend, then have them trade it back. The 2026 Switch re-release supports the same trade through local wireless on the Pokemon Center 2F Wireless Club, with no cables required.
