This process is made slightly easier if you pair a profession like Tailoring since you can make gear that you then disenchant into materials. This Leveling guide for the enchanting profession will walk you through each level and list the material amounts you will need. We also included images detailing where to find each Enchanting Trainer for every Major City in WoW Classic.

    World of Warcraft Classic Enchanting Leveling Guide

    This World of Warcraft Classic Enchanting Leveling Guide will list the Ingredients and Materials you will need to go from level 1 to the max level of 300 with the Enchanting Profession. You do not need the Tailoring Profession but it does help, you can also purchase materials from other players. Below we have listed the location of higher level Trainers since you will need to locate specific Trainers to unlock higher level Enchanting Profession and raise your Level Cap.

    • [Apprentice Enchanting] (Level 1-75) – Any Major City
    • [Journeyman Enchanting] (Level 75-150) – Any Major City
    • [Expert Enchanting] (Level 150-225) – (Alliance) Kitta Firewind in Elwynn Forest | (Horde) Hgarth in Stonetalon Mountains

    Recommended Profession to pair/use with Enchanting –  Tailoring Guide

    Disenchanting Materials

    You will obtain most of the Materials you will use for Crafting from Disenchanting Weapons, Armor and other items in WoW Classic. The higher the Level of that Weapon or Armor you disenchant, the higher of quality of materials if will give you which are used in higher level enchanting recipes.

    Dust

    How To Get Dust Materials for Enchanting. Disenchanting Armor has a higher rate of giving you Dust. If you also have the Tailoring Profession then you can make your own Dust Materials from Disenchanting Cloth Armor you make.

    • Strange Dust: Green Armor Level 1-20 | Tailor Low-Level Green Armor
    • Soul Dust: Green Armor Level 21-30 | Tailor Azure Silk Pants
    • Vision Dust: Green Armor Level 31-40 | Tailor Red Mageweave Pants  OR Red Mageweave Gloves
    • Dream Dust: Green Armor Level 41-50 | Tailor Runecloth Belt
    • Illusion Dust: Green Armor Level 51-60 | Tailor Runecloth Shoulders

    Essence

    How To Get Essence Materials for Enchanting. Disenchanting Weapons have a higher rate of giving you Essence.

    • Lesser Magic Essence: Green Weapon Level 11-15
    • Greater Magic Essence: Green Weapon Level 16-20
    • Lesser Astral Essence: Green Weapon Level 21-25
    • Greater Astral Essence: Green Weapon Level 26-30
    • Lesser Mystic Essence: Green Weapon Level 31-35
    • Greater Mystic Essence: Green Weapon Level 36-40
    • Lesser Nether Essence: Green Weapon Level 41-45
    • Greater Nether Essence: Green Weapon Level 46-50
    • Lesser Eternal Essence: Green Weapon Level 51-55
    • Greater Eternal Essence: Green Weapon Level 56-60

    Shards

    How To Get Shard Materials for Enchanting. Disenchanting Rare/Epic gear has a higher rate of giving you Shards.

    • Small Glimmering Shard: Rare Equipment Level 21-25
    • Large Glimmering Shard: Rare Equipment Level 25-30
    • Small Glowing Shard: Rare Equipment Level 31-35
    • Large Glowing Shard: Rare Equipment Level 36-40
    • Small Radiant Shard: Rare Equipment Level 41-45
    • Large Radiant Shard: Rare Equipment Level 46-50
    • Small Brilliant Shard: Rare Equipment Level 51-55
    • Large Brilliant Shard: Rare Equipment Level 56-60
    • Nexus Crystal: Epic Equipment OR occasionally Rare Equipment Level 56-60

    Level 1-2

    As an Enchanter, you will need a special tool to enchant gear with. As you level up you will need to make these, materials needed for this can be purchased at the Enchanting Supply Vendor located near the Enchanting Trainer NPC.

    • Learn [Apprentice Enchanting] 
    • Materials Needed 1 Copper Rod + 1 Strange Dust + 1 Lesser Magic Essence
    • Make 1 Ruined Copper Rod

    Level 2-75

    Easy 70+ levels, after which you should learn the Journeyman Enchanting to increase your level cap.

    • Materials Needed 80 Strange Dust
    • Make 80 Enchant Bracer – Minor Health
    • Learn [Journeyman Enchanting]

    Level 75-85

    • Materials Needed 10 Strange Dust + 10 Lesser Magic Essence
    • Make 10 Enchant Bracer – Minor Deflection

    Level 85-100

    • Materials Needed 45 Strange Dust 
    • Make 10 Enchant Bracer – Minor Stamina

    Level 100-101

    Its that level again where you need to make another Rod, you can buy a Silver Rod from a Blacksmith and the Shadow Gem can be found from monster loot drops or bought from other players.

    • Materials Needed 1 Silver Rod + 6 Strange Dust + 3 Greater Magic Essence + 1 Shadow Gem
    • Make 1 Ruined Silver Rod

    Level 101-105

    • Materials Needed 15 Strange Dust
    • Make 5 Enchant Bracer – Minor Stamina

    Level 105-120

    • Materials Needed 30 Strange Dust + 15 Greater Magic Essence
    • Make 15 Enchant Bracer – Minor Agility

    Level 120-130

    • Materials Needed 20 Strange Dust + 10 Lesser Astral Essence
    • Make 10 Enchant Shield – Minor Stamina

    Level 130-150

    Pretty sure by now you are sick of enchanting bracers, well you are not done with those yet. This is the point however, you finally get to use some higher level dust. After this, you learn the Expert Training to increase your level cap and you will need to visit specific Trainers to learn the Expert Enchanting Training

    • Materials Needed 40 Soul Dust
    • Make 20 Enchant Bracer – Lesser Stamina
    • Learn [Expert Enchanting]  (Alliance) Kitta Firewind in Elwynn Forest | (Horde) Hgarth in Stonetalon Mountains

    Level 150-151

    Now that your level cap is increased its time to make another Ruined Rod, this one will be golden and can be obtained from a blacksmith. The Iridescent Pearl can be found within a Clam or bought from other players.

    • Materials Needed 1 Golden Rod + 1 Iridescent Pearl + 2 Greater Astral Essence + 2 Soul Dust
    • Make 1 Ruined Golden Rod

    Level 151-160

    • Materials Needed 20 Soul Dust
    • Make 10 Enchant Bracer – Lesser Stamina

    Level 160-165

    • Materials Needed 5 Soul Dust + 5 Lesser Mystic Essence
    • Make 5 Enchant Shield – Lesser Stamina

    Level 165-180

    • Materials Needed 15 Lesser Mystic Essence
    • Make 15 Enchant Bracer – Spirit

    Level 180-200

    • Materials Needed 20 Vision Dust
    • Make 20 Enchant Bracer – Strength

    Level 200-201

    It’s annoying but its time we build another Rod, this time it going to get more expensive.

    • Materials Needed 1 Truesilver Rod + 1 Black Pearl + 2 Greater Mystic Essence + 2 Vision Dust
    • Make 1 Ruined Truesilver Rod

    Level 201-205

    • Materials Needed 5 Vision Dust
    • Make 5 Enchant Bracer – Strength

    Level 205-225

    • Materials Needed 60 Vision Dust
    • Make 20 Enchant Cloak – Greater Defense
    • Learn [Artisan Enchanting] (Alliance) and (Horde) need to visit the Badlands and enter the Uldaman Zone within that you will find Annora.

    • Materials Needed 10 Vision Dust + 10 Lesser Nether Essence
    • Make 10 Enchant Gloves – Agility

    • Make 10 Enchant Gloves – Agility

    Level 235-245

    • Materials Needed 60 Vision Dust
    • Make 10 Enchant Chest – Superior Health

    Level 245-265

    • Materials Needed 50 Dream Dust + 25 Greater Nether Essence
    • Make 25 Enchant Bracer – Greater Strength

    Level 265-290

    These levels will require that you purchase a recipe from select vendors.

    • Materials Needed 300 Dream Dust 
    • Purchase Formula: Enchant Shield – Greater Stamina | (Alliance) Mythrin’dir in Darnassus, (Horde) Daniel Bartlett in the Undercity
    • Make 30 Enchant Shield – Greater Stamina

    Level 290-291

    This is it the final and most pricey out of all the rods you will have made by now.

    • Materials Needed 1 Arcanite Rod + 1 Golden Pearl + 10 Illusion Dust + 4 Greater Eternal Essence + 4 Small Brilliant Shard + 2 Large Brilliant Shard
    • Make 1 Ruined Arcanite Rod

    Level 291-300

    • Materials Needed 10 Illusion Dust
    • Make 10 Enchant Cloak – Superior Defense

    You Reached Max Level Enchanting

    Now that you have maxed out this profession you can enchant various types of weapons and gear for other players or for yourself, most of which can be learnt from Recipes purchased from various Vendors. We recommend collecting Recipes from the following Vendors:

    (Note: Some vendors will require a Friendly, Honored, Revered or Exalted Standing just to purchase the Recipe from the Vendor.)

    (Note: Keep in mind some of the Formulas are found as Drops from Bosses and various monster.)

    • Lokhtos Darkbargainer Vendor in Blackrock Depths | Formula: Enchant Weapon – Mighty Intellect & Mighty Spirit
