Syndra Counters Classic 26.22

Force of Will throws a Dark Sphere or enemy minion, damaging and slowing enemies it hits. Crescent Slash hits within Akali's short listed reach. Cross the throw's path instead of retreating along it. A slowed Akali still has to reach Syndra before the cast can deal damage.

Syndra can push Akali away with Scatter the Weak, and a Dark Sphere caught in that push can stun her. After level six, Shadow Dance lets Akali jump back onto Syndra after the displacement. Wait through any stun, then return. A Dark Sphere hit combines the knockback with a stun.

Maximum rank changes a different pair of threats through Transcendent. Dark Sphere gains bonus damage against champions. The same passive extends Unleashed Power's range. The lane's late danger is no longer just the slow or knockback. Recheck the distance before each entry; the ultimate can start from farther away than it could earlier.

Syndra uses Force of Will for magic damage and a Movement Speed slow. Riftwalk moves Kassadin by teleport, so you can reserve it for the retreat. Repeating Riftwalk in a short span raises its Mana cost and damage on later landings.

Null Sphere silences Syndra and deals damage, denying fresh ability activation while the effect lasts. Nether Blade's active then layers magic damage onto Kassadin's basic attacks. That pairing keeps pressure on her through the first close exchange.

Beside Syndra, a basic attack on her makes Nether Blade triple its Mana return. Minion hits restore less Mana through Nether Blade. Force Pulse can damage and slow Syndra from its cone once nearby spell casts charge it.
