Nautilus Counters Classic 26.22
Most Nautilus fights start with Dredge Line, so respect its range and never step into it without vision. Staggering Blow means his first basic attack immobilizes you, and Depth Charge chases; save your escape for the anchor, not the ult.
The play Take your trade in the seconds after Staggering Blow, before that immobilize comes back.

How to Counter Nautilus in LoL Classic
Counter guideTwo junglers, and both fights turn on the same moment: the anchor lands, and now you are standing next to Nautilus. For Olaf that is a tilt, because
Ragnarok clears what is already pinning him and blocks what comes next for six seconds. Lee Sin holds an edge worth respecting for the opposite reason.
Dragon's Rage clears nothing off you. It sends Nautilus backwards instead.

Playing Olaf into Nautilus
Ragnarok is the cleanse for Depth Charge, and a hundred seconds sit between one use and the next.

A wall at your back is not distance from Nautilus.
Dredge Line thrown into terrain pulls him to the anchor instead, and its cooldown is cut in half when it does. So take the fight on open ground.
Undertow lands where you aim it, damaging and slowing whatever stands in the line.
A hundred mana at rank one pays for
Ragnarok, which returns every hundred seconds. The press clears what already holds you. The immunity that follows keeps the next one off. That covers the knockup and stun
Depth Charge ends on. Spend Ragnarok on Dredge Line and the shockwave may find your immunity gone.
The right moment for
Vicious Strikes is before you walk in, not after. You get bonus attack damage, lifesteal and spell vamp, and all three expire six seconds later.
Reckless Swing is true damage that cuts you too, but
Titan's Wrath is a shield, not a resistance, and it still stands in the way.
Playing Lee Sin into Nautilus
Dragon's Rage sends Nautilus away, Safeguard / Iron Will sends you to an ally, and both need a target already there.

Standing beside whoever Nautilus is hitting puts you in the damage without being the target. While
Titan's Wrath is up, his attacks put a damage over time effect on the enemies around his target, and
Safeguard / Iron Will rushes you toward an ally, which can be exactly the wrong place to arrive.
Energy is why you cannot press everything before
Dredge Line lands.
Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike eaten by a minion is a press you do not have when Nautilus arrives. Land
Tempest first and Cripple follows: four seconds of reduced movement and attack speed on Nautilus.
Kick him off the moment the anchor lands. Dredge Line drops you next to him, and
Riptide goes off right there, three explosions, each one slowing. The kick cannot wait for a tidier moment. With
Dragon's Rage down, Safeguard / Iron Will is your exit, and it needs an ally already standing clear.
