Hecarim Counters Classic 26.22
Devastating Charge hits harder the longer he has been running at you, so break the chase before it lands. Stay out of Spirit of Dread while it heals him, and save an escape for the Onslaught of Shadows engage.
The play Freeze the wave near your tower so any gank has to cross open ground.

How to Counter Hecarim in LoL Classic
Counter guideThe three picks written up here are all melee, and each one takes the tempo off Hecarim in its own way. The board clearly favors Nasus and Warwick alike, and the two arrive from opposite directions: one ages Hecarim where he stands, the other pins him and will not let go. Nunu is a tilt instead, slowing Hecarim with
Ice Blast and getting a free spell once five attacks land. Read all three before you lock one.
Playing Nasus into Hecarim
Wither is where this starts: it drains his speed away.

Put
Wither on him the moment he commits. It starts soft and grows heavier as it runs, dragging his Movement Speed down and his Attack Speed with it. A melee fighter caught in Wither is walking, not chasing. Then put
Spirit Fire on the ground behind him and let the Armor shred sit there.
Your mana is the real limit here. Wither is not cheap, and Spirit Fire asks for more at every rank you add. Mana you spend shoving the wave is mana you will not have for Wither when Hecarim arrives, so shove only with enough left for the slow.
Fury of the Sands stretches your cast ranges while it holds. So Wither can be cast from a longer distance. The storm hurts nearby enemies and turns part of that into Attack Damage. You also get bonus maximum Health while it rages. Its cooldown is one hundred and twenty seconds.
Playing Warwick into Hecarim
Infinite Duress pins him in place and keeps him from acting for as long as the hold runs.

On a champion,
Hungering Strike swaps its flat damage for a cut of their maximum Health whenever that is bigger. It heals you as it lands, and
Eternal Thirst keeps topping you up on every swing, more each time you stay on the same target. Refuse the short trade and take the long one.
Infinite Duress will not take you behind Hecarim. The hold starts in front of him instead. Life Steal runs for the duration, and five attacks fire your on-hit effects. It also leaves you inside melee range for all five swings. Miss the window and the wait to try again is long.
Do not count on
Blood Scent while Hecarim is healthy: the speed only appears once an enemy champion drops below half of their Health.
Hunter's Call is one tool you have before that, lifting your Attack Speed and every nearby friendly champion's at once.
Playing Nunu into Hecarim
You have a slow that comes back quickly, a free cast from Visionary, and Absolute Zero draining speed while it charges.

Ice Blast carries the shortest wait of your four casts. It cuts into Movement Speed and into Attack Speed, and the mana it asks for climbs with every rank.
Visionary is the relief there. Land five attacks and your next spell is free. Attack the wave between casts and Ice Blast can come free.
Pick your camp before you clear it, because
Consume pays different bonuses depending on what you eat. Golems hand you extra maximum Health. Wolves or Reptiles make your attacks and your spells carry a slice of your own maximum Health as magic damage. The bonus runs for minutes, so the choice sticks with you.
Every enemy standing inside
Absolute Zero loses half their Movement Speed and a quarter of their Attack Speed while you hold the channel. Damage at the end scales with how long you held it. Consume will not bite a champion, so with no minion or monster nearby there is no heal.
