Talon Counters Classic 26.22

Stand close before Talon commits: Tempest / Cripple works from much nearer than Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike. Anything the shockwave hits stays revealed for four seconds, and Cripple opens for three of them. Press it and his walking and swinging both slow, then come back a little at a time.

Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike stops on the first enemy it touches, and an enemy minion counts as one. Pick an angle with nothing in it, because a wave that lands on a caster buys you a dash onto the caster. Chip Talon first: a lower bar makes the dash hit harder.

Kicking distance sits inside every other range you own, so Dragon's Rage is a cast you walk into rather than throw. Check what is standing behind Talon before you press it: the kick launches him backwards, and any enemy he collides with is knocked into the air.

Take the turret shot on the block. Aegis Protection does not sort damage by who sent it. It arms on your fourth attack or cast, so have one banked before you step under. Aegis of Zeonia arms another as the leap lands. A third block needs four more actions.

Spear Shot never gets dearer, forty five mana from the first point to the last. Heartseeker Strike climbs with every point, and Grand Skyfall costs more than anything you own. Poke is what this lane can always pay for: chip with the spear, and keep enough back for one Aegis of Zeonia.

You land on Talon with Aegis of Zeonia, and he is stunned for a second. Spend that second on Heartseeker Strike, three quick strikes into the ground straight ahead of you. The channel falls well short of where Spear Shot lands, so those strikes are for after you have arrived.
