How to Counter Diana in LoL Classic
Counter guideDiana walks into a stance, a silence and a nest of guns here. Her attacks miss for the length of Jax's 
Counter Strike, and the stun waiting at the end of it is decisive. The lane clearly favors Cho'Gath, whose Feral Scream leaves her holding buttons that will not fire. Heimerdinger's grenade stuns her outright if the throw lands on top of her, which hands him a firm edge.

Every swing Counter Strike dodges adds a fifth to its recast damage, up to a ceiling. Her swing rate rises under 
Moonsilver Blade, so more swings arrive. The stance runs up to two seconds. Then it fires again on its own, whether or not Jax presses it. Diana ends the exchange stunned beside him.
Take the fight off your own minions. 
Pale Cascade's spheres detonate on her enemies, and your minions are her enemies, so fighting in the wave gets her that third detonation and the thicker shield. 
Empower belongs on the swing after the stun, and the loaded attack lands while she still cannot act.
After the stance is done, backing off does not work: 
Moonfall draws you back in. Her swings pick up while the slow it leaves is still on you. Counter Strike is on cooldown while all of that happens. So press the stance once she has already stepped in and started swinging.
