Dropped in Gen VIII (Sword & Shield). Queenly Majesty was unique but 72 Speed left Tsareena outsped by everything that didn't rely on priority. Niche support only.

Tsareena Guide

  • We rate Tsareena B-Tier: a solid choice for the right team. At 510 BST, it fits the wallbreaker role. Base 120 Attack stands out.

  • Watch for Infernape (Fire), Kyurem (Ice), and Roserade (Poison) when using Tsareena. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Flying and Bug-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Leaf Guard protects against major status ailments during strong sunlight. That's the one you want on Tsareena. Sweet Veil is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Queenly Majesty works too if your team needs something different.

  • Base 72 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Tsareena is a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.

  • Run Rapid Spin, Knock Off, Powerwhip, and Tripleaxel on Tsareena. Rapid Spin is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the wallbreaker role with a mix of damage and utility.

Game Availability

Tsareena joined the series in Sun & Moon and has been available in 4 titles so far. With 4 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
