Is Persian Good in FireRed & LeafGreen Playthrough?
Fast Normal-type with AbilityLimber preventing paralysis. Persian can't be slowed by Thunder Wave or Stun Spore, which matters more than expected against Erika's Vileplume and trainers through Silph Co. Doesn't threaten any gym leader directly. Speed and consistency are the sell, not power.

Persian Weakness
Fighting moves hit Persian for super-effective damage. The upside? Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. At base 115 Speed, Persian outspeeds most threats and doesn't need to tank what it can outrun.

Persian Evolutions
Persian is what Meowth becomes. Breed it for Meowth eggs (average hatch time). A massive partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolution from Meowth pushed Persian to 440 total stats. HP saw the largest single gain at +25. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
FRLG Persian Best Moveset
115 Speed outpaces most of the format. AbilityLimber prevents paralysis, protecting that Speed advantage. Normal TermStab from MoveReturn at 70 Attack is modest, but the moveset compensates with speed and MoveHypnosis for sleep support. Fast and disruptive, never powerful.

Has a vicious temperament. Beware if it raises its tail straight up. It is a signal that it is about to pounce and bite.
Although its fur has many admirers, it is tough to raise as a pet because of its fickle meanness.
