Mew Evolutions
A Psychic-type mythical at 600 base stats, Mew can't breed or evolve. Event distribution is the standard way to obtain one. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
B2W2 Mew Best Moveset
100 in every stat with access to nearly every move in the game. The moveset adapts to whatever the team needs because Mew learns support, offense, and utility that most Pokemon can't access. Opponents can't predict the set, and AbilitySynchronize punishes status attempts.

Mew best EVs are Sp. Atk and Speed

Moves List
Breadth over depth defines this movepool. Mew won't stack one type's damage ceiling, but coverage across 16 types means it always has an effective option. Dream Eater and Psychic anchor the STAB core.

How the move deals damage and which stats it uses.
A small dot on the icon's corner marks the move as contact. That triggers abilities like Static, Flame Body, Rough Skin, or Iron Barbs, plus items like Rocky Helmet and Sticky Barb.
Tier (S to D)
Each move's competitive rank in RankedBoost's system. TM, Egg, and Tutor sort by tier by default (best first). On Level-Up, click the Tier header to do the same.
PWR (Power)
Base damage. Numbers shown in a type color include STAB (base × 1.5). Hover any colored number to see the math.

Sorting & Filter
Click any column header to sort. Level-Up opens with Lv 1 at the top. TM, Egg, and Tutor open with the highest-tier moves at the top.

Because it can use all kinds of moves, many scientists believe Mew to be the ancestor of Pokémon.
Mew Black 2 & White 2 Guide
For the Black 2 & White 2 meta, At 600 BST, Mew is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper. Ice Beam with Leftovers is the standard set.
Synchronize copies burns, paralysis, and poison received onto the Pokémon that inflicted them. That's the one you want on Mew. It's the only ability Mew has.
Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Mew is a special attacker with base 100 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a sweeper.
In Black 2 & White 2, run Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Psychic, and Flamethrower on Mew. Ice Beam is the most common pick at 0% usage. Psychic provides reliable STAB damage.
Game Availability
Mew first appeared in Red & Blue and has been available in 20 titles. Mythical distribution means event-only access in most games, making it one of the harder Pokemon to collect.
