Prankster gives priority to its status moves, letting Liepard hit way above its stat class. Dark typing helps — Psychic moves can't touch it, and only 2 types hit it super-effectively. Been around since Gen 5. Known as the Cruel Pokemon.
Liepard's built around mixed offense. Speed leads the charge, Defense pays for it. Moderately hard to find, worth 2 Speed EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Their beautiful form comes from the muscles they have developed. They run silently in the night.
Liepard Weakness
GoodType-wise, Liepard takes extra damage from Fighting and Bug. Psychic moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. At base 106 Speed, Liepard outspeeds most threats and doesn't need to tank what it can outrun.
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
Liepard is the evolved form of Purrloin. Breeding produces Purrloin eggs, and they're average hatch time. Evolving from Purrloin gave Liepard the biggest boost in Speed (+40), bringing the total to 446 stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Liepard to get Purrloin eggs easily from the Ground egg group. Notable egg moves include Charm, Covet, Encore and 5 more.
The Sash lets Liepard ignore defensive shortcomings for one turn. Use that turn to deal early damage, and Prankster squeezes extra value from the position. Max Attack and Speed EVs push damage output.

Breeding's the move. Charm and Covet give Liepard options it can't learn any other way, and coverage across 9 types already covers a decent range on top of Foul Play and Dark Pulse. The egg moves push it further.

Don't let Liepard's 446 base stat total fool you. Prankster is what makes it tick — it punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a pivot.
Purrloin evolves into Liepard at level 20. Liepard is the fully evolved form. It sits at 446 BST in its evolved form.
Run Prankster on Liepard. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Liepard also gets Limber and Unburden, but they don't compare.
Liepard fills the pivot role. It's a special attacker with base 88 Sp. Atk. Base 106 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Liepard appears in 8 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.
Introduced in Black & White, Liepard has appeared in 8 games across 5 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
