Everything about Mew's stat line is built to win. 100 base HP leads the way, and even its worst stat (100 HP) isn't a real liability. Ghost moves can't touch it, and only 0 types hit it super-effectively. An original Gen 1 pick.
An unusually even spread gives Mew flexibility. HP barely edges ahead. But any other stat isn't far off. Tough to catch and follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve. Yields 3 HP EVs.
So rare that it is still said to be a mirage by many experts. Only a few people have seen it worldwide.
Mew Weakness
ExcellentMew has no type weaknesses thanks to its unique defensive typing. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely.
- Only 15 types exist — Dark, Steel, and Fairy are absent
- Ghost has no effect on Psychic (a known bug, fixed in Gen II)
- Special stat governs both offense and defense — no Sp.Atk / Sp.Def split
A Psychic-type mythical at 600 base stats, Mew can't breed or evolve. Event distribution is the standard way to obtain one.
How to Evolve
Best Build
Gen 1 build content has limited support (no abilities, held items, or natures).
Try selecting a different game/generation filter, or check back later.
Breadth over depth defines this movepool. Mew won't stack one type's damage ceiling, but coverage across 11 types means it always has an effective option. Dream Eater and Psychic anchor the STAB core.

At 600 BST, Mew is built different. We rank it A-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper.
Mew has no type weaknesses, making it hard to counter through typing alone. Focus on status moves, entry hazards, or raw neutral damage to take it down.
Mew doesn't evolve. As a Mythical Pokemon, it stands on its own without an evolutionary line. It's a Psychic type with 600 BST.
Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Mew is a mixed attacker — base 100 Attack and 100 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a sweeper.
Mew appears in 20 games, including Yellow, Red & Blue, and Gold & Silver.
Mew first appeared in Red & Blue and has been available in 20 titles. Mythical distribution means event-only access in most games, making it one of the harder Pokemon to collect.
