Everything about Mew's stat line is built to win. 100 base HP leads the way, and even its worst stat (100 HP) isn't a real liability. Only weak to Bug, Ghost, and Dark. An original Gen 1 pick.
An unusually even spread gives Mew flexibility. HP barely edges ahead. But any other stat isn't far off. Tough to catch and follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve. Yields 3 HP EVs.
Because it can use all kinds of moves, many scientists believe Mew to be the ancestor of Pokémon.
Its DNA is said to contain the genetic codes of all Pokémon, so it can use all kinds of techniques.
Mew Weakness
VulnerableMew's Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Ghost, and Dark moves. Mew's overall bulk (100/100/100) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
A Psychic-type mythical at 600 base stats, Mew can't breed or evolve. Event distribution is the standard way to obtain one.
How to Evolve
This build takes hits and hits back. Leftovers provides passive recovery each turn, Synchronize supports the gameplan, and max HP and Speed EVs mean Mew doesn't crumble to chip damage. Plus Normal coverage backing it up.

Breadth over depth defines this movepool. Mew won't stack one type's damage ceiling, but coverage across 17 types means it always has an effective option. Dream Eater and Psychic anchor the STAB core.

At 600 BST, Mew is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper.
Mew doesn't evolve. As a Mythical Pokemon, it stands on its own without an evolutionary line. It's a Psychic type with 600 BST.
Synchronize copies burns, paralysis, and poison received onto the Pokémon that inflicted them — that's the one you want on Mew. It's the only ability Mew has.
Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Mew is a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a sweeper.
Mew appears in 20 games, including Yellow, Red & Blue, and Gold & Silver.
Mew first appeared in Red & Blue and has been available in 20 titles. Mythical distribution means event-only access in most games, making it one of the harder Pokemon to collect.
