Mew Weakness
Mew's Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Mew's overall bulk (100/100/100) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Bug, Ghost, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fighting, Psychic |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move

Mew Evolutions
A Psychic-type mythical at 600 base stats, Mew can't breed or evolve. Event distribution is the standard way to obtain one. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.

FRLG Mew Best Moveset
100 in every stat with AbilitySynchronize reflecting status. Mew learns every TM and move tutor in the game, giving it the largest moveset of any Pokemon available. The flexibility means any build is possible: special attacker, physical attacker, support, tank. No other Pokemon adapts to team needs this completely.

Moves List
Breadth over depth defines this movepool. Mew won't stack one type's damage ceiling, but coverage across 15 types means it always has an effective option. Dream Eater and Psychic anchor the STAB core.

CAT (Category)
How the move deals damage and which stats it uses.
A small dot on the icon's corner marks the move as contact. That triggers abilities like Static, Flame Body, Rough Skin, or Iron Barbs, plus items like Rocky Helmet and Sticky Barb.
Tier (S to D)
Each move's competitive rank in RankedBoost's system. TM, Egg, and Tutor sort by tier by default (best first). On Level-Up, click the Tier header to do the same.
PWR (Power)
Base damage. Numbers shown in a type color include STAB (base × 1.5). Hover any colored number to see the math.
— means no power (status moves) or variable power.
Sorting & Filter
Click any column header to sort. Level-Up opens with Lv 1 at the top. TM, Egg, and Tutor open with the highest-tier moves at the top.
Search filters by move name or type. The Filter button limits the list to STAB, Physical, Special, or Status moves.

A POKéMON of South America that was thought to have been extinct. It is very intelligent and learns any move.
So rare that it is still said to be a mirage by many experts. Only a few people have seen it worldwide.
Mew FireRed & LeafGreen Guide
Yes. Mew is a post-game Pokemon. You need to defeat the Elite Four and enter the Hall of Fame first. Enter the Hall of Fame to trigger the event-ticket distribution. Switch re-release auto-awards the Mystic Ticket (Lugia/Ho-Oh on Navel Rock) and Aurora Ticket (Deoxys on Birth Island); original GBA required the discontinued 2004-2005 Mystery Gift events.
Game Availability
Mew first appeared in Red & Blue and has been available in 20 titles. Mythical distribution means event-only access in most games, making it one of the harder Pokemon to collect.
