Everything pushes toward physical damage here. Anorith's Attack does the work, Sp. Atk pays the price. But you're still getting 1 Attack EV per KO. Tough to catch, on a standard growth curve.

The level-up pool tells the story here. Anorith learns X-Scissor and Rock Slide naturally, plus enough variety that TMs feel like bonuses. Water and Steel coverage and more extends the reach beyond that.

Anorith doesn't appear in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Transfer it from Ruby, Emerald, or Sword to add it to your collection. Check the source games below for encounter details.

Anorith is not available as a wild encounter in this game.

Catch in the wild in:

Then trade to Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.

Also found in:

  • At 355 BST, Anorith is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Armaldo before bringing it to any serious fight.

  • Watch for Milotic (Water), Golem (Rock), and Steelix (Steel) when using Anorith. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

  • Anorith gets Swift Swim and Battle Armor. But Swift Swim is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Anorith's hidden ability is Swift Swim. Doubles Speed during rain. Better than the standard options for competitive play.

  • Anorith is leaning toward the physical side (base 95 Attack). Fragile, can't afford to take many hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 75 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many.

Debuting in Ruby & Sapphire, Anorith appears in 14 games across 8 generations. A reliable presence in a solid number of games, typically found through catching or hatching as a base form.
