Corsola Best Moveset
Healing a third of HP on each switch through AbilityRegenerator is the one thing keeping Corsola relevant across eight generations of otherwise bottom-tier play. Water/Rock typing creates too many weaknesses. This moveset runs Held ItemLeftovers with NatureBold and Water-type moves for a support role that stronger options do better.
95 Defense and 95 Sp. Def in Gen II (Gold & Silver) were decent for a defensive Pokemon. 55 Attack and 35 Speed meant Corsola only stalled, never pressured.

Natural Cure healed status on switch-out in Gen III (Ruby & Sapphire). Good defensive ability, but Corsola's offenses were too low to make switching in worthwhile.

Peaked in Gen IV (Diamond & Pearl). Stealth Rock setter with Recover and the defensive bulk to absorb special hits. 35 Speed and Water/Rock typing gave too many weaknesses.

Regenerator healed 33% on switch-out in Gen V (Black & White). Perfect for a defensive Pokemon, but 410 BST limited what that defense could accomplish.

Power creep pushed Corsola down in Gen VI (X & Y). 55 Attack couldn't pressure anything, and faster threats broke through the 95/95 defenses with ease.

Corsola Guide
Corsola isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Cursola to unlock its full potential. At 410 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Corsola's biggest threats include Venusaur (Grass), Jolteon (Electric), and Hitmonlee (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Venusaur is the most dangerous since Grass moves deal 4x damage. Ground-type attackers are also a problem. At base 35 Speed, Corsola won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Run Regenerator on Corsola. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Corsola also gets Hustle and Natural Cure, but they don't compare.
Regenerator is the hidden ability. It heals for 1/3 max HP upon switching out. Worth hunting for if you want Corsola to compete at a higher level.
Corsola fills the balanced role. It's a mixed attacker with base 55 Attack and 65 Sp. Atk. Base 35 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Game Availability
Corsola first appeared in Gold & Silver and spans 17 games across 9 generations. It later gained a Galarian form in Generation 8, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
