Ruby & Sapphire Fiery Path
A short volcanic tunnel links the two halves of Route 112 beneath Mt. Chimney. Strength boulders block off a few side pockets, so plan on a second trip to clear them all.
Fiery Path is in Hoenn. In the story you arrive from Route 112 to the south and it comes before Route 113.

The Fiery Path tunnels straight under Mt. Chimney, a short volcanic shortcut you can walk end to end. Strength shoves the boulders aside to reach the side nooks, but the main passage runs clear without it.

- 1From the south entrance, go north through the narrow corridor, west along the rock wall, north through the long corridor, then east to the north exit. Go through it to Route 112.
Pokemon Encounters
Numel and Torkoal are the catches that matter in this volcanic tunnel, a Camerupt in waiting and a stubborn defensive turtle. Machop, Slugma, and the Grimer and Koffing poisons round out the tunnel's encounters.
