What is the Villa in the Resort Area in Platinum?

Brand new to Platinum, the Villa is a home in the Resort Area that Diamond and Pearl do not have, even though the Resort Area itself appears in all three games. The previous owner hands it to you when you arrive. You then buy furniture from a catalog on the table, roughly 2,500,000 Pokedollars for the full set, which draws NPC visitors like Gym Leaders, your rival, Professor Rowan, Rowan's assistant, and your mom.

Platinum Resort Area

At the top of the Battle Zone, the Resort Area is all sand and surf for trainers who already hold the title. A lakeside villa here becomes yours to fix up.

Resort Area is in Sinnoh. In the story you arrive from Route 229 to the north and it comes before Route 230.
