Platinum Route 201
Out the door of Twinleaf, this grassy lane is where it all begins. A Starly ambush sends you snatching a starter from Professor Rowan's briefcase: Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup.
Route 201 is in Sinnoh, with Sandgem Town to the east. In the story you arrive from Twinleaf Town to the south and continue north to Lake Verity.

The first route doubles as starter ground, where Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup is handed to you at level 5. The grass itself surprises with a level 2 Growlithe at 8 percent, a Fire-type most trainers never see this early, while Bidoof and Starly crowd the common slots.
