They do, thanks to the game's internal clock. Goldenrod's haircut brothers raise a Pokemon's friendship on a set schedule, some shops stock special goods only on certain days, and a few people hand out a different gift each day. Check what day it is before you write a town off as finished.

Gold & Silver Viridian City

Forest-edged Viridian is where Kanto journeys once began. Blue, your old rival, took the gym after Giovanni vanished, and his badge is the sixteenth and last.

Viridian City is in Kanto, with Route 2 to the north and Route 22 to the west. In the story it comes after Route 4 and continues south to Route 1.
