Nothing fancy in Weezing's spread. It leans mixed with Defense out front. And you'll get 2 Defense EVs per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
This Pokémon consumes particles that contaminate the air. Instead of leaving droppings, it expels clean air.
Long ago, during a time when droves of factories fouled the air with pollution, Weezing changed into this form for some reason.
Type-wise, Weezing takes extra damage from Ground, Psychic, and Steel. Dragon moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. The Poison/Fairy typing picks up 5 resistances to work with. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Weezing's physical bulk (base 120 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Weezing is what Koffing becomes. Breed it for Koffing eggs (average hatch time). A decent partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolution from Koffing pushed Weezing to 490 total stats. HP saw the largest single gain at +25. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
The build centers on Toxic Spikes and survivability. Black Sludge means Poison-type passive recovery, and max HP and Defense EVs give Weezing the bulk to set up repeatedly. Neutralizinggas adds another layer of staying power.
Best Build
Weezing best EVs are HP and Sp. Atk

The level-up pool tells the story here. Weezing learns Heat Wave and Strange Steam naturally, plus enough variety that TMs feel like bonuses. Normal and Fire coverage and more extends the reach beyond that.

In Sword & Shield, Weezing looks average on paper at 490 BST. But Levitate is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier on our tier list. Sludge Bomb with Black Sludge is the standard set.
Weezing gets Levitate, Neutralizing Gas, and Misty Surge. But Levitate is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Weezing is a mixed attacker with base 90 Attack and 85 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often.
For Sword & Shield, the core moveset is Sludge Bomb, Toxic Spikes, Painsplit, and Flamethrower. Sludge Bomb leads at 21% usage. This set covers the balanced role with a mix of damage and utility.
Available since Red & Blue, Weezing appears in 20 games spanning 10 generations. Beyond its original form, it gained a Galarian form in Generation 8.
