Where two kinds of poison gases meet, 2 KOFFINGs can fuse into a WEEZING over many years.

Weezing Weakness

Type-wise, Weezing takes extra damage from Ground, Psychic, and Bug. Weezing's physical bulk (base 120 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Most of Weezing's flexibility comes from TMs. Same-type output runs through Sludge and Smog, but Normal and Fire and the rest of the TM pool push it from predictable to genuinely threatening.

  • For Red & Blue, the core moveset is Explosion, Sludge, Fire Blast, and Thunderbolt. Explosion leads at 24% usage. Sludge provides reliable STAB damage.

  • In Red & Blue, the best way to handle Weezing: Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Ground, Psychic, and Bug-type attackers hit hardest.
