Stats & Training
Nothing fancy in Weezing's spread. It leans mixed with Defense out front. And you'll get 2 Defense stat exp per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
When it inhales poisonous gases from garbage, its body expands, and its insides smell much worse.
Weezing Weakness
Type-wise, Weezing takes extra damage from Ground and Psychic. The Poison typing picks up 4 resistances to work with. Weezing's physical bulk (base 120 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Ground, Psychic |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Grass, Fighting, Poison, Bug |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
- Special stat split into Sp.Atk and Sp.Def

Weezing Guide
In Crystal, Weezing brings 490 BST to the table. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in Crystal's meta. Sludge Bomb with Leftovers is the standard set.
Weezing is a physical attacker with base 90 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often.
In Crystal, the best way to handle Weezing: Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Ground and Psychic-type attackers hit hardest.
In Crystal, Weezing plays as a balanced. Not the fastest, so pick your spots carefully.
