  • Kommo-o's biggest threats include Mimikyu (Fairy), Kyurem (Ice), and Talonflame (Flying), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Mimikyu is the most dangerous since Fairy moves deal 4x damage. Psychic and Dragon-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Kommo-o has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.

  • Hakamo O evolves into Kommo-o at level 45. Kommo-o is the final evolution in a 3-stage line starting from Jangmo O. With 600 BST, it's a powerhouse in its final form.

  • Bulletproof is the go-to ability for Kommo-o. It protects against bullet, ball, and bomb-based moves. Its hidden ability Overcoat can work in specific setups. Soundproof is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.

  • Base 85 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Kommo-o is a special attacker with base 100 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a tank.
