Ground moves don't affect Noivern at all — that's the advantage of Flying/Dragon typing. It comfortably outruns most offensive threats. Can go either physical or special depending on the set. Introduced in Gen 6.
Speed and Sp. Atk carry most of Noivern's stat budget. Attack's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Speed EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Aggressive and cruel, this Pokémon will ruthlessly torment enemies that are helpless in the dark.
Flying through the darkness, it weakens enemies with ultrasonic waves that could crush stone. Its fangs finish the fight.
Noivern Weakness
GoodNoivern's Flying/Dragon typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Rock, Dragon, and Fairy moves. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Ground-type attacks completely. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses.
Evolved from Noibat. Noivern is the final form in this two-stage line. Plenty of partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. Speed grew the most through evolution (+68 over Noibat), and Noivern peaks at 535 total stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Noivern to get Noibat eggs easily using 60 partners from the Dragon and Flying egg groups. Notable egg moves include Defog, Dragon Rush.
U-turn keeps your team's momentum going. Noivern doesn't need to stay in long, Heavy-Duty Boots provides hazard immunity on every switch-in and max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs make every visit count. Hurricane threatens on the way out. Infiltrator adds passive value.

Recommended Teammates
STAB runs through Outrage and Hurricane for the basics, but Noivern's real strength is the 10-type coverage spread. Grass and Normal hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.

We rate Noivern C-Tier — a situational pick that fills a niche. At 535 BST, it fits the pivot role. Base 123 Speed stands out.
Noibat evolves into Noivern at level 48. Noivern is the fully evolved form. At 535 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.
Frisk reveals an opponent's held item upon entering battle — that's the one you want on Noivern. Telepathy is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Infiltrator works too if your team needs something different.
Base 123 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Noivern is a special attacker with base 97 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a pivot.
