Stats & Training
Speed and Sp. Atk carry most of Noivern's stat budget. Attack's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Speed EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Ultrasonic waves emitted by a Noivern can pulverize a large boulder. This Pokémon has a cruel disposition.
In the dark, even Hydreigon are terrified of this Pokémon. But in the light, Noivern is the one that avoids battle.
Noivern Weakness
Noivern's Flying/Dragon typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Rock, Dragon, and Fairy. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Ground-type attacks completely. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses.

| 4x (Critical) | Ice |
| 2x (Weak) | Rock, Dragon, Fairy |

Moves
STAB runs through Sky Attack and Draco Meteor for the basics, but Noivern's real strength is the 11-type coverage spread. Grass and Normal hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.

How to Get Noivern in Legends: Z-A
Noivern Guide
For Legends: Z-A, we rate Noivern A-Tier: a strong pick in Legends: Z-A's competitive scene. At 535 BST, it fits the support role. Draco Meteor with Heavy-Duty Boots is the standard set.
Frisk reveals an opponent's held item upon entering battle. That's the one you want on Noivern. Telepathy is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Infiltrator works too if your team needs something different.
Base 123 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Noivern is leaning toward the special side (base 97 Sp. Atk). Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a support.
For Legends: Z-A, Noivern has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Ice, Rock, and Dragon-type attackers hit hardest.
